2009
International Accounting Program in Hong Kong
Visa Requirement
All program participants are required to have a single entry visa for travel to mainland
China (People's Republic of China). Some students might want to consider
applying for a multiple entry visa (for personal travel to/from China). The CIBER office will submit P.R.C. visa applications as a group to the
Chinese Consulate in Houston on behalf of our program. Students who do not
submit their visa paperwork to CIBER by posted deadlines will be responsible for
obtaining the appropriate visa prior to the program start date. It is
important to note that visa entry requirements can change. For information on
what to expect for the visa application process, see program
Blackboard organization.
If you are a U.S. citizen, you will not need a visa for visits of less than 90
days to Hong Kong. Non-U.S. citizens should check with the
appropriate consulate for visa requirements as soon as possible regarding
requirements for travel to Hong Kong. If you need a visa for travel to
Hong Kong, please apply early!
