Faculty Web Site Resources
The McCombs Web Team has created a one-stop shopping center
for all of the McCombs faculty member's Web site needs.
We can help you create or improve your current site so that it will look and function as
you would like it to. Tired of dealing with multiple
student workers? We can now be the main point of contact
for Web site assistance. The Web team will give you keys to learn how to make
your site more effective and professionally communicate what
you want to convey about yourself, your courses and the Business School.
We have created a number of templates to use for
your site. These templates were pre-designed to expedite
the site development process, but you are free to use any
design of your choice. If you choose to use our
templates here
are some examples... You may also choose the colors, the
images, the navigation links and of course, the content.
If you choose not to use any of the
templates, we are still available to answer any design or technical questions you may have. The Design
Tips Web page is also helpful if you wish to design your
own site.
Megan Stevenson is now available to assist Faculty members with Faculty
Web sites. If you would like assistance, contact Megan so
she can begin the process of assessing your needs. Her email

The kind of support
we can give
- Site creation – create faculty member site, implement old content into new template
- Consulting – basic assistance getting you started on your site, helping you revamp an old site, and guiding you through the steps of developing a sound
Web site
- Graphic production – help with specific images, icons or graphics. Can design upper left hand banner
- Technical Questions – provide need-bases assistance for technical questions or refer you to resources or people who can direct you.
The kind of support we cannot
give
- Create original content – that is up to the faculty member
- Maintain and update content daily or weekly – Web team members can assist with
maintenance training and major updating, but faculty member is responsible for
basic updating
- Support complex database projects – Web team members can refer faculty to appropriate database programmers
