Our Mission
Graduate Women in Business (GWIB) strives to provide an atmosphere conducive to the professional and personal development of its members.
Our goals include the following:
· To improve the visibility of women in the McCombs School of Business;
· To offer career development resources to our members;
· To provide opportunities for our members to enhance the skills they need to remain competitive in the
marketplace;
· To connect our members to news stories and articles related to women's issues in the workplace;
· To be an informational resource for prospective McCombs students;
· To promote a spirit of camaraderie among our members and women in the business community in a variety of
social settings and events.
Programmatic goals:
· Networking/social events with corporate sponsors and alumni;
· Sponsoring Speaker Series at McCombs featuring executive level females;
· Up-close dinners and luncheons with corporate sponsors, professors, and professional women in the community;
· Communication and interview workshops;
· First-year/Second-year and MBA/BBA mentorship program;
Membership:
Membership is open to all women enrolled in the McCombs full-time MBA program. Benefits of membership include:
· Invitation to participate in all GWIB functions, including Professional Development, Networking/Social events, and
the Women in Business Leadership Conference;
· Access to companies interested in recruiting women through exclusive GWIB events and resume book;
· Opportunity to publish your resume within the National Association of Women MBAs resume book
