Mission Statement

The Asian Business Students Association (ABSA) is a professional, social, and philanthropic organization. We prepare our members for success in the corporate world, from exposing them to a wide spectrum of industries to providing resources to becoming effective leaders. Although we cater to integrating Asian-Americans into mainstream corporate America, our organization reaches out to all individuals of different majors and ethnicities. Strategic partnerships with leading firms provide our members with valuable internships and career opportunities as well as insider tips on resume-building, interviewing, and firm-specific information. In our goal to develop well-rounded individuals, we also host many social and community service activities.

Purpose

The Asian Business Students Association shall serve as a center for educational and occupational opportunities within the business community, to foster a mechanism for effectively addressing to the College of Business Administration the needs of Asian business students, and to provide a medium conducive to the desires of Asian business students for higher achievement.

Functions

To conduct regular meetings, sponsor social events, invite guest speakers, establish a network, provide academic advising, act as an information resource center.
