GBC Officer Elections

Dear Class of 2011,

Believe it or not, the elections for new GBC officers are coming right up.  If you would like to be a leader for your student body, please be aware of the following deadlines and events:

November 2       GBC Elections Info Session in GSB 3.104 from 5-6 PM

November 10      Platforms due to Zainab Zaki by 5pm sharp

November 12      Presidential Speeches at 11:45 AM in the Carpenter Center (2 min max)

November 20      Voting ends

Winter Break      Winners Announced

Note that you must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 to win a position on the GBC. The platforms must have the position you are running for specified. There is a 350 word max if you are running for President and a 200 word max if you are running for any other positions.  Please include your MBA face book photo along with your platform. No platforms will be accepted after this time – except for in the case where there are no platforms submitted for an available position. In that case, candidates submitting for other positions will be given the first right of refusal to move to the vacant position.  However, in the case that no candidates are found, additional candidates for that specific position will be recruited.  The following positions are up for election:

Officers

President

VP of Administration

VP of Internal Affairs

VP of External Affairs

VP of Finance 

Committee Chairs

Academic Affairs Chair

Alumni Affairs Chair

Career Services Chair

Community Service Chair

Social Chairs (two positions)

Sports Chair
