Graduate Finance Association
New York Informational Trip

Each fall the GFA sponsors a networking trip to New York City to meet
with UT alums and other professionals at major investment banks.
Typically each visit consists of panels of professionals throughout all
levels of the firm. All functions are normally represented, including
Investment Banking, Sales & Trading, Private Client Services and Equity
Research. This trip is a great opportunity for students to learn about
the industry and to network with industry professionals. Here are slides
used to prepare for last year's trip:

Houston Investment Banking Trip

GFA and EFG will be hosting the Houston investment banking energy trek on Friday, September 14th. The investment banking trek will visit Wachovia, Lehman Brothers, Simmons and Co., and Lime Rock Resources (private equity firm). When we were scheduling the visits, it was our desire to hit different points in the Houston investment banking spectrum. The four firms we’re visiting should provide an excellent learning opportunity on investment banking in Houston.
More details on the treks will follow, but we need to know if you’re planning on attending. Space is limited (as we will be using a charter bus service in Houston) and spots will be filled on a first come basis. Trek signups begin immediately and will end Friday, September 7th. Please contact Matthew Hartman or Nelson Mabry to sign up for the investment banking trek.
