GRES : Welcome To The GRES Website

Welcome To The GRES Website

Thinking of joining the Graduate Real Estate Society? Here's why you should...

1. Want to learn about real estate? - The Graduate Real Estate Society goes to great lengths to educate its members. Last year alone, it brought more presidents, CEOs, and senior executives to UT than any other student organization. The GRES is supported by the Center for Real Estate Finance and its Advisory Council, which includes 34 of the best real estate firms in the country. We'll get you connected if you like.

2. Looking for a cool internship or job? - Not now? Well, you will, and we'll help you. Even in a tough job market, we had more great companies making offers than we had warm bodies accepting. Not a bad problem to have! Some of the companies that our members worked for this past summer were JP Morgan Chase, Lehman Brothers, Wells Fargo and ProLogis - just to name a few. Join us...we'll find you a job or an internship.

3. Best events in business school? - Want to show other Top 20 Business Schools why Texas has one of the best real estate programs at The Real Estate Finance Challenge? Do you know who has hosted the most successful golf tournament in McCombs' history? Have you been treated to a 5-star restaurant and given a tour of Dallas' American Airlines Center? Who buys you kegs at Scholz Bier Garten? Have you had dinner with the most prominent real estate players in Texas? Check out our Calendar.

4. The most talked about website at McCombs - No other student organization markets its members better than the GRES. We paste your mug and resume on our site, and good things happen. Yes, prospective employers visit our site because we designed it for them as well as you. Just take a look at our Tools and  Resources page. You'll see why Texas' most successful real estate professionals have us on their desktop.

5. The Annual GRES Spring Golf Tournament - Want to lower your handicap or just spend a Friday afternoon with real estate professionals and some quality UT MBA's? If so, mark your calendars for the Annual GRES Spring Golf Tournament to be held on April 15, 2004.
