Where: H-E-B, San Antonio, TX
Title:  Management Associate Internship

I worked at the H-E-B warehouse in San Antonio and optimized human resources for the Seasonal Retail Support Center.  The warehouse management made the first steps towards implementation at the end of the summer.  Additionally, I learned about H-E-B’s supply chain operations throughout the summer.  Presented possible network optimization strategy to senior leaders.

What:   MBA Services Intern in Commercial Client Tech Support

Besides having the opportunity to hear presentations from many members of the executive leadership team, including Michael Dell, my primary project was to conduct a service level analysis.  I was tasked to evaluate what effect current service levels have on customer satisfaction, and make recommendations as to where they should be set.  I enjoyed this project because I was able to use my background in operations, as well as tie in concepts from statistics, finance, marketing and general management.

What: Financial Leadership Program: 

Evaluated customer acquisition costs and presented recommendations to senior management for channel discontinuation, vendor renegotiations for more equitable cost structures with up to $1.2M in savings and new expense invoice coding to enhance speed and accuracy in data collection.


 

Researched and analyzed best practices of global retailers in order to provide inventory strategy recommendations for a financial transformation project at a Fortune 100 company. Socialized recommendations to executives and stakeholders through presentations and workshops.
