McCombs Kickoff
Register Today!
McCombs Kickoff is a day-long, large scale event on August 24th, 2009, that invites all incoming business freshmen to spend a day with each other and current students. The event includes games at Zilker Park, swimming at Barton Springs, a boat party, and dinner. This day is designed to help students: 1) meet other incoming business freshmen and transfers, 2) have fun before school starts, and 3) become more comfortable with their new role as a college student.
The event will start right at the business school, where you all will be placed into teams for activities later in the day. After teams are formed, we will head to Zilker Park, one of the most well-known places in Austin, for team-building activities, sports, and swimming at Barton Springs. Throughout the day, two meals will be catered by local Austin restaurants. McCombs Kickoff will be capped off by a boat cruise on Lake Austin. Look forward to meeting future peers, as well as campus leaders who can help get your college career off to the right start!

McCombs International Business Challenge
The McCombs International Business Challenge is an annual undergraduate business case competition held each fall at the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin. Twenty universities compete in the event with teams consisting of four students. Each team is given a case depicting contemporary real-world problems confronted by a modern business firm. The students have two and a half days to prepare a solution for the case. At the end of the two and a half days, each team will present their solution to the "client," a panel of distinguished judges from the case company, the sponsor company and other members of the business community.
Top-notch students from universities gain experience facing senior representatives from sponsoring firms, meet high-caliber students from around the world, network and make new contacts, learn more about sponsors through respective sponsor presentations, expand their skills and gain insight from other students.
