Parents' Day 2008 Keynote Speaker: Keat Wilkins - CEO, President Sense Corp

Overview

Keat Wilkins is co-founder and president of Sense Corp, a business and technology consulting firm.  Keat has led the company since 1996, helping it grow from a four-man partnership with a single contract to a firm with over 80 consultants, $20 million in annual revenues, and contracts with a diverse group of Fortune 500 companies in the healthcare, energy, financial services, manufacturing, and communications industries.

Bio:

Before founding Sense Corp, Keat earned an MBA from the University of Texas and held senior management positions at Tyco Healthcare and Citicorp.  He knew that if corporations could access information more easily and effectively, their businesses would run better and be more profitable.  In 1996, he left his corporate management job to embark on a second career as an entrepreneur, launching Sense Corp as a data warehousing and information technology consulting firm that truly understands business.

Keat has been lucky or smart enough -- depending on who you ask -- to surround himself with some of the sharpest business and IT people in the country.  Through his leadership, he helps cultivate their talents and match them with clients for whom they can produce real value, on time and within budget.  Keat has helped create and foster an entrepreneurial, forward-thinking culture at Sense Corp, a culture grounded in strong business ethics and integrity.

Keat lives in St. Louis with his wife and son.  He is actively involved in his community, working with St. Louis Children’s Hospital, the Boys & Girls Club, the St. Louis Sports Commission, and chairing the finance committee of his local school board.  He also serves on the board of directors for the Sense Corp Texas 4000 For Cancer, based at UT-Austin.
