McCombs School of Business 2009-2010 Notebook Program

The McCombs Notebook computer program is being discontinued for the '09-10 academic year.

Due to changes in vendor support for our program, and the very low number of students who have participated over the past two years, we have decided not to recommend specific computer systems for purchase this year.

Students interested in purchasing a new computer for school this year can get special educational discounts, promotions, and pricing through the campus computer store (www.campuscomputer.com, or call 512-475-6550). Dell, which remains our recommended vendor, has special bundles and pricing for the UT campus available at http://www.dell.com/longhorns.

The Campus Computer Store sells a whole range of applications at special educational pricing. Through a campus agreement with Microsoft, you can purchase Windows XP, Windows Vista, Office 2003, and Office 2007 for less than $50 each. Other applications, including Symantec antivirus, are available for free download from http://www.utexas.edu/its/bevoware. Check both places before you buy any commercial software.
