Automatic Windows Updates
It is possible to configure Windows to automatically update all critical patches. This will ensure that your system will remain protected.
For Windows XP users**:
Right click on My Computer and view Properties.
Select the Automatic Update tab, and check the second option (to automatically download critical updates and be notified when they are ready to install). We DO NOT recommend the third option of automatic scheduling.
For Windows 2000/service pack 3 users**:
Open the Control Panel (either from Start > Settings > Control Panel or My Computer > Control Panel).

Click on the Automatic Update icon.

**If you are unsure which version of Windows you are running, click to open My Computer. In the file menu (at the top of the screen) click Help > About Windows.
