Undergraduate and previous graduate achievements

For admission purposes, the University calculates a GPA using undergraduate, upper- division (junior and senior- level) coursework and any completed graduate work. The Texas Evening MBA does not require prior coursework in management or business administration. The ranking and reputation of the applicant’s undergraduate institution may be taken into consideration, as will extracurricular involvement during one’s undergraduate experience.

Interviews

All applicants admitted into the Texas Evening MBA program will be interviewed by the Director of the program; however, not all applicants will be invited for an interview. A Texas Evening MBA staff representative will contact applicants via e-mail or phone to set up interview dates and times. To be interviewed, the application must be completed as defined by the application checklist. Incomplete applications cannot be evaluated and may encounter processing delays that could affect the admission decision. It is the responsibility of each applicant to monitor the status of his/her application.

Pre–Enrollment Expectations

Prior to enrollment, applicants should possess competency in at least three areas:

Applicants whose native language is not English may be asked to demonstrate language competency beyond the submission of a TOEFL score.

Special Considerations

Most application materials are kept for one calendar year. Applicants reapplying must submit new university application forms, a new resume, essays, and the application processing fee. Additional letters of recommendation and test scores are not required, but may be submitted. Transcripts must be re-submitted only if additional coursework has been taken since the last application. International students must obtain an updated statement of financial support.
