Scheduling Appointments Assigned Advisors Advisor Directory What is Academic Advising?

News:
In 2005, the McCombs School Undergraduate Advising Program received a Certificate of Merit for Outstanding Advising Program from the National Academic Advising Association.

To make an appointment with your Academic Advisor:

• Call the Advising Hotline, (512) 471-0690, and a Peer Advisor will make an appointment for you; OR
• Come by the Undergraduate Programs Office (CBA 2.400) and a Peer Advisor at the front desk will make an appointment for you.

DO NOT E-MAIL YOUR ADVISOR TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT.  The Peer Advisors are responsible for maintaining the advisors' calendars and appointments.

Students interested in transferring into the School of Business may schedule an appointment with a McCombs advisor after attending an Internal Transfer information session.  During registration periods, only current business students may schedule appointments.  Prospective students with general questions may also email TexasBBA@mccombs.utexas.edu

 

Assigned Advisors All entering business students are assigned to an Academic Advisor.  Students will work with the same advisor throughout their time in the Business School, unless they major in Engineering Route to Business (ERB), BBA/MPA: integrated approach or the Business Honors Program.  Once a student declares ERB, or is accepted into the BBA/MPA: integrated approach or Business Honors Program, they will switch to an advisor specifically assigned to that program. If you are not a current McCombs student and have a general question, please email TexasBBA@mccombs.utexas.edu and not the individual advisors.
