Internship Approval

Once you have secured an internship, you must receive approval to use it toward your degree PRIOR to beginning work.  Credit cannot be given for an internship you have already completed.

You submit your Internship Application here: https://utdirect.utexas.edu/business/internships/stud_index.WBX

The Internship Coordinator in your major department will review your application, and you will receive an email within 5-7 days informing you of the decision.

If you are unsure if an internship you are considering will work, the best way to find out is to submit your application.  You do not need to contact the Internship Coordinator separately.

Application Deadlines

  • Summer internships: July 1st
  • Fall or Spring internships:
    10th class day of the semester in which the internship takes place
