Internship Course/Credit

Each department in the McCombs School of Business has its own designated 3-hour internship course.  Once your Internship Application is APPROVED, you will be able to add the appropriate internship class (FIN 353, ACC 353J, etc.) for the semester in which you are doing the internship, unless this is during the summer. Students working in summer internships must register for the course in the following fall semester.

The courses are restricted to approved students, and it takes approximately 2 days to be cleared to register for the class; therefore you may not be able to add the class immediately upon approval.  You must register yourself for the internship course by the 12th class day - students are not automatically added.

The internship course is graded on a pass/fail basis only.  The course normally meets only once early in the semester (or in early May for summer interns). Students with approved applications receive notification of this meeting and other course requirements via email.

Summer interns must submit course materials (journal, final paper, and supervisor documentation form) by the first Friday of the fall semester.

Fall and spring interns submit course materials three weeks before the last class day of the semester.
