Welcome to myMcCombsbeta

This year McCombs undergraduate students will help us test a new approach to serving your needs. While we work towards building a brand new McCombs website, we have split the undergraduate site into two parts, one for current students and one for prospective students. All pages of the current student site feature the myMcCombs toolbar, which will allow you to jump directly to the myBBA directory.

Pass/Fail Coursework

Students may register for courses on the pass/fail basis, and can change this status on the online registration system through the 12th class day of a long semester.  From the 13th class day to the mid-semester Pass/Fail deadline (see the Academic Calendar for specific dates), students may change their status in the Undergraduate Programs Office, CBA 2.400.

Any passing grade earned in a class taken on a pass/fail basis will give you credit (CR) for a course. Check with your professor to determine the grade that is required to pass. If you fail the course, an "F" will be calculated into your GPA.

A limited number of free electives, non-business electives, and upper-division non-business electives may be taken on a pass-fail basis. Any required upper-division business electives must be taken for a grade. The only exceptions to this rule are required business courses which are only offered on a pass-fail basis (e.g. internship courses) or a business course taken as a free elective.

Required business classes and classes filling other requirements (i.e. Fine Arts/Humanities, Natural Science, etc.) must be taken for a letter grade, and all classes counting towards a minor must be taken for a letter grade.

Only two courses may be taken on a pass/fail basis during any long semester or summer session, and a maximum of 4 courses taken on a pass/fail basis may count toward your degree.

Note: If you receive credit by exam, and elect to take credit (CR) instead of a letter grade, you will still be eligible to take 4 additional courses on a pass/fail basis. Also, a "CR" earned from credit by exam may be used for a course which otherwise requires a letter grade.
