Priority Deadline for BBA Study Abroad

For the BBA International Programs, March 1 is the priority deadline for the full next year (if that falls on the weekend, then the deadline is the following Monday). The application deadline for students who want to study abroad on a BBA Exchange for Fall 2008, Summer 2008, and Spring 2009 is March 3, 2008 .

What does this mean for you?
It means that you will have to plan ahead if you want to study abroad in the spring. You will need to gather information, research programs, meet with a BBA International Program advisor, and complete your application in time for this deadline.

Why is the spring deadline so early?
We actually do this to make it easier on the students who want to study abroad in the spring! Before, spring students applied in October, and so only had November and December to complete all of their required forms and paperwork. Visas alone can take up to 12 weeks for processing, so this was a difficult deadline for both the host schools and the students.

Is there any chance to submit a late application for a spring program?
Yes - we will have a secondary application deadline on October 1, for programs that still have openings available. These will be advertised in late spring, and applications will be reviewed and accepted on a rolling basis.

So plan ahead, attend an information session, meet with an advisor, and remember the priority application deadline:

March 1, deadline for the following fall and summer
March 1, priority deadline for the following spring
