- The University is housed in a hillside and waterfront complex overlooking Port Shelter on the Clear Water Bay peninsula, less than a 30 minute drive from central Hong Kong.
- Opened in 1991, this smaller school has 5500 undergrads, 2000 of them business majors.
- HKUST was designed to be different; its
founders, Dr. Chung and then-Hong-Kong
Governor, Sir Edward Youde, knew Hong Kong
needed a new kind of school, one that
attracted first-class faculty and academics
in both traditional and fast-moving fields.
