School Facts:
- Thammasat University was formally established on June 27, 1934, originally named as Thammasat Lae Karn Muang.
- As the 2nd oldest state university in Thailand, Thammasat’s alumni include Prime Ministers, Ministers, Central Bank Governors, notable professors, and other prominent figures.

Country Facts:
- The Kingdom of Thailand draws more visitors than any other country in Southeast Asia.
- Thailand's monsoons arrive around July and last into November (the 'rainy season') and can be quite uncomfortable to deal with. By far the best time to visit is from February to March when the weather is kind and the beaches are at their finest.
- Many festivals are linked to Buddhist or Brahman rituals and follow a lunar calendar.
- New Year (Songkran) is celebrated in
mid-April by 'bathing' Buddha images, paying
respects to monks and elders by sprinkling
water over their hands, and generally
tossing a lot of water in the air for fun.
- Finance internships are available for juniors/seniors, with 4 months advance planning. Consult a BBA International Programs Coordinator.
