Admissions

As one of the top ten undergraduate business programs (U.S. News & World Report 2008, BusinessWeek 2008) in the United States, McCombs provides your student with a first-class business education and endless opportunities both in and out of the classroom. McCombs offers 10 majors, so students can choose a traditional business major or a newer, up-and-coming major such as Supply Chain Management. Your student is certain to find an area he or she is passionate about. Our outstanding faculty, diverse student body, recognized career services and student services ensure your student will receive a high quality, well-rounded education.

Academic Advising

Academic advising gives your student the opportunity to build a professional relationship with his or her academic advisor. Academic advisors ease the transition from other educational institutions to the university and McCombs, and they inform students about additional services available to them. Advising is an ongoing and collaborative process where your student and his or her advisor outline steps for achieving personal, academic and career goals.

Office of Student Life

The Office of Student Life provides comprehensive services and resources to prospective and current students. Your student’s college experience is enhanced by programs such as the Leadership Certificate Program, LeaderShape, McCombs student organizations and over 900 university-wide student organizations. Student Life staff are committed to supporting leadership, student organizations, scholarships and other social, cultural and intellectual activities that augment your student’s academic growth and learning.

Student Life Programs

International Programs

Study abroad programs give students intercultural life-changing experiences and opportunities they can’t find in the United States, for about the same cost of a semester at McCombs. Students who return from study abroad programs have an expanded worldview, are attractive to international companies and still graduate on time. BBA International Programs coordinates 27 semester exchange, summer exchange and short-term exchange programs in 22 countries exclusively for undergraduate McCombs students.

McCombs Career Services

The BBA Career Services office prepares your student for his or her job search through a variety of methods. Integrated class work, seminars, workshops and one-on-one counseling offer a comprehensive approach to finding an internship or job. Students receive a suggested timeline they are encouraged to follow each year to help them successfully meet their career goals.

In an effort to help identify stolen bicycles, the University of Texas has developed an online method of registering them. Students who operate and park their bicycles on campus must register at www.utexas.edu/parking
