Corporate Scholarships
The Student Affairs Department, in the McCombs Undergraduate
Programs Office, works with many companies to award scholarships.
Typically, companies award scholarships in two ways:
- By working through the McCombs Scholarship Application available in February. Student Affairs matches qualified students to corporate scholarships based on company criteria that a student indicates on the application. Examples include: major, GPA, by reading your essay for specific interests, or through the checkboxes that ask a student to self-select (interested in investment banking, interested in a career in supply chain management, etc).
- Provide opportunities for students to apply directly to the company for an award. Student Affairs helps companies to identify students for these scholarships by emailing qualified candidates directly with instructions, or including the notification at the Undergraduate Programs Office front desk and the weekly BBA email. Factors may include specific majors, or GPA. Companies may have a variety of instructions, including specific applications and essay questions, or requiring a resume.
