Award criteria are set by the donor(s). Where academic achievement is noted as a selection factor, the applicant's UT Austin grade point average will be used. Financial need is determined through completion of the FAFSA form, which is processed by the federal government.

Students from Llano High School, Texas, shall receive sole consideration; independent scholastic activities, extracurricular activities, and leadership. Financial need must be a factor in evaluating otherwise equal qualifications. May be continued when the student maintains the above-described criteria.
