Welcome to myMcCombsbeta

This year McCombs undergraduate students will help us test a new approach to serving your needs. While we work towards building a brand new McCombs website, we have split the undergraduate site into two parts, one for current students and one for prospective students. All pages of the current student site feature the myMcCombs toolbar, which will allow you to jump directly to the myBBA directory.

What?
Do you think accounting is boring? Find out what accountants really do in the Accounting Career Awareness Program (ACAP). Spend a week in July, all expenses paid, at the top-rated McCombs School of Business on The University of Texas at Austin campus. Learn about diverse careers in accounting, from working at one of the Big 4 to the FBI. You will live in a residence hall; meet faculty, business professionals and other students interested in accounting; attend hands-on workshops; and take field trips to Austin-area firms. Make new friends, become familiar with the amazing UT campus and start thinking about how a degree in accounting can really add up.

ACAP will celebrate its fifteenth year on the University of Texas at Austin campus. Approximately 40 students are chosen to attend. You will participate in fun team building and evening activities (bowling, laser tag etc), workshops about communication skills, etiquette, and career development as well as focused business sessions taught by UT faculty and industry professionals. Students also work on a group project with a cohort.

Who?
ACAP
is a week long on campus institute for economically disadvantaged students, or for those who will be the first members of their families to attend college. However, all students are welcome to apply.

Why?
What is accounting anyway?
