  • What?
McCombs Future Executive Academy (MFEA): This is your chance to discover what a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree and a career in business could mean for you. Spend a week in June, all expenses paid, at the top-rated McCombs School of Business on The University of Texas at Austin campus. You will live in a residence hall; meet faculty, business professionals and other students interested in business; attend hands-on workshops; take field trips to Austin-area companies; and create a real marketing plan for a local business. Join us and make new friends, become familiar with the amazing UT campus and begin building skills now that you can use to succeed at school and on the job.
  • Who?
MFEA is a week-long on campus institute for economically disadvantaged students, or for those who will be the first members of their families to attend college. However, all students are welcome to apply.
  • Why?
Over the past two and a half decades, the McCombs School of Business has attracted one of the more diverse student populations of any major business school in the nation, producing a steady stream of highly qualified business graduates from varying backgrounds. We want to make sure we continue improving our diversity. It enriches our academic programs and meets the needs of employers increasingly looking for a diverse, well-educated workforce.
  • What do I need to apply?
A GPA of at least 3.2, resume, two letters of recommendation, high school transcript, and a complete McCombs High School Summer Programs application.
  • How?
To attend the program, all expenses paid thanks to our generous sponsors Exxon Mobil, PriceWaterhouseCoopers and GE Money, download the McCombs High School Summer Programs Application and send it in with additional required materials by Friday, April 11, 2008 by 5pm. Decisions will be made shortly after. Students are selected based on a variety of factors including: high school counselor recommendations, resume and academic achievement.
