UT Staff Council Representatives

The goal of the UT Staff Council is to promote a positive and collaborative work environment at The University. Its purposes include:

• To serve as a representative advisory council
• To provide a vehicle for communication of interests, concerns, and issues that affect staff
• To present recommendations to University leadership
• To provide nominations to University Standing Committees

Representatives serve staggered 2-year terms, so the McCombs School of Business will elect one representative every year. The UT Staff Council elections are held in late spring.

The UT Staff Council primarily addresses campus-wide policy issues, such as Benefits, Retirement, Grievance Policies, Parking, Compensation, etc.

To propose an issue for review by the UT Staff Council, please contact one of the above representatives, who will help determine if it is an appropriate issue for the Staff Council, or if it should be resolved through other methods.

Staff may also contact their representatives for assistance and information on any UT-Austin policy questions and concerns.

UT Staff Council meetings are open to all staff members, and we encourage you to attend. Meetings are usually the 3rd Thursday of the month, except for December and March, which are the second Thursday because of holidays and spring break.
