Primary On-Campus Recruiting Activities
On-campus recruiting is a spectrum of services to assist employers with recruiting current McCombs students for roles in their organizations. On-campus recruiting is provided free of charge by McCombs Career Services. Each company is assigned to a recruitment account manager from the McCombs Recruitment Services team, which serves as your resource for scheduling on-campus interview dates and rooms (OCI), posting positions, Resume Collections (RC), and scheduling events associated with your on-campus interview schedule (i.e. Information Sessions, Night Priors, etc.). On-campus recruiting opportunities are designed to help current students find professional roles within organizations. To ensure that this goal is achieved, recruiting must align with the McCombs School of Business Recruiting Requirements.
On-campus recruiting activities align with The University of Texas at Austin fall and spring semesters. Typically, candidates are only available to start in roles during logical breaks in the academic year (i.e. summer). Please note that McCombs Career Services does not screen students on work authorization status. However, to assist you with candidate selection, current McCombs students include work authorization status on their resumes.
A full-service on-campus recruiting process (posting, screening, and interviewing) takes five to six weeks from start to finish and can include the following:
- Schedule on-campus interviews to be conducted at the McCombs School of Business
- Job posting
- Candidate screening (based on degree requirements and graduation time frames)
- Online resume collections
- Employer “pre-selection” of interview candidates
