BHP has a limited number of merit-based scholarships available. Every admitted student is considered for these scholarships. There is no separate application for BHP merit scholarships. Students who receive a BHP scholarship will be notified by March 15 of their award amount.
Applications are required for many other types of scholarships for incoming freshmen. You can read more about the various scholarships available on TexasScholarships.org. Scholarships from UT’s alumni association, the Texas Exes are also available for incoming freshmen, including the prestigious Forty Acres Scholarship. You can apply to all Texas Exes scholarships through their online application.
Each year UT Austin awards over $500 million dollars in financial aid. To be considered for grants, loans, and work-study positions offered by the University, you need to fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
