Lamar JohnsonCCIMS, the Marketing Fellows, and the entire Marketing Department are attracting significant attention both within McCombs, and externally through the Dean’s Advisory Council. In April, we were invited to present our work with the Marketing Fellows in creating “experiential” learning opportunities. Marketing Fellows President Meagan Pishnick and Fellows student Sean Saul participated with me in the presentation to the group, which included Red McCombs.  Read more.

Leigh McAlister Faculty Spotlight: Professor Leigh McAlister

Professor Leigh McAlister is the Ed and Molly Smith Chair in the Department of Marketing. Leigh’s research and professional activities have, for a long time, addressed issues at the intersection of marketing knowledge development and marketing practice. Prof. McAlister’s current research projects seek to improve our understanding of the importance of marketing, both as a functional capability and as a managerial orientation, on a firm’s growth and long-term strategy. Roundtable Recap: Excellence in Marketing Operations

CCIMS Spring Roundtable 2011In Spring 2011 CCIMS focused its roundtable on “Excellence in Marketing Operations: Tools, Technologies, and Measures that Matter.” Increasing complexities of the marketplace coupled with accelerating rates of change have underscored the importance of instituting efficient and measurable marketing processes. During the half-day event held on April 15, 2011, Jeff Urbanek (AT&T), Prof. Raji Srinivasan (McCombs), and Brian Graham (Walmart) shared their experiences and thinking via presentations and were later joined by Christine Cutten (Deloitte Consulting) and Kapil Jain (CCIMS) in a panel discussion. CCIMS Fall Roundtable—"Multicultural Marketing"

This year’s CCIMS Fall Roundtable will focus on Multicultural Marketing. Driven by sweeping changes in the demographic landscape as well as the homogenizing effects wrought by consumer-oriented technologies, questions surrounding multicultural marketing are becoming quite central to all marketing efforts. CCIMS will host an interactive half-day session including presentations and panel discussion with experts in this field.

The McCombs Marketing Conference 2012—"Tackling Tomorrow's Marketing Challenges"

CCIMS, in conjunction with the CCIMS Marketing Fellows, will host an inaugural McCombs Marketing Conference this spring. This two-day conference will spotlight trends shaping innovation in Marketing. Focus will be on how these trends are affecting the current market place and how to capitalize on these trends to position oneself ahead of their peers. Read more.
