Global Readiness Abroad

Thousands of UT undergraduates – and more than 40% of McCombs students – incorporate an international experience into their time at UT.  The coronavirus may have put a damper on international travel for a time, but the value and significance of international experience remains undiminished. The Center for Global Business remains committed to assisting students as they look to add a global readiness component to their UT journey.

  • Looking to study abroad? Start with UT’s Education Abroad office or BBA Study Abroad (McCombs students only).
  • Looking for an international internship? Start with Texas Global or the CGB Job Board (IB and GM students only).

Study Abroad in Prague: Looking for a quick start? The BBA Short Term Study Abroad in Prague offers credit for both IB 350S and MAN 336, and for students interested in a Global Management credential it also offers equivalency for MAN 137C.

Advanced Language Preparation: Students interested in advanced language preparation for an international experience can review McComb's Business Language Learning Tools for insights.


Global Readiness at Home

UT and the Center for Global Business offer many types of on-campus global learning, from internationally focused classes to student organizations and speaker series. Join us and get involved!

CGB Speaker Series Events: The CGB routinely presents speakers discussing the latest trends in international business, intended provoke conversation among students, policy experts, and business executives.  Stay tuned to CGB's home page for details on upcoming talks. or check out our YouTube Channel for videos of previous talks.

Leveraging Experience Abroad in Recruiting: CGB’s recruiting workshops help former study abroad participants get the most out of their experience abroad. Participants analyze business-relevant skills they gained abroad and learn techniques for leveraging their experience in recruiting.

International Education Week: International Education Week, coordinated by Texas Global, celebrates international education and exchange throughout the world. Events throughout the week showcase UT’s international reach and celebrate global learning on campus.  IEW is expected to take place the week of November 16, so stay tuned for details.
