Energy Management Minor (EMM)
The Energy Management Minor consists of 18 credit hours and incorporates coursework in business, geoscience, law, and petroleum engineering. This minor is open to all majors. -
Energy, Finance, Law and Science Track (EFLS)
The Texas BBA Program gives finance majors the opportunity to specialize in Energy, Finance, Law and Science.

Summer Courses
Take 4 classes with your energy peers Monday–Thursday during the summer. Fridays will have speaker lunches, field trips, treks, and more!

NAPE Expo & Company Visits
Students have the opportunity to attend Winter and Summer NAPE Expo. They can also network at energy company headquarters, such as Opportune, BP, Alvarez & Marsal, and Schlumberger. -
Dallas Energy-Finance Trek
Approximately 20 undergraduate and graduate students visit Prudential Capital in Dallas, Texas, for a one-day visit. Other Dallas energy companies attend and discuss current energy industry policies, trends, observations, and opportunities. -
Annual KBH Energy Center Conferences
Each fall and spring, approximately 300 industry professionals gather for a pair of one-day conferences to discuss technology, policy, and economic trade-offs for our collective energy future.
Energy, Finance, Law and Science Track (EFLS)
Make your study path uniquely yours, designed to match the energy career of your dreams. The Texas BBA Program gives finance majors the opportunity to specialize in Energy, Finance, Law and Science (EFLS).
Course List
A total of 18 credit hours are required for the track. Students in the program follow the base finance curriculum and add the following specialized courses:

Well Site Tour
Hunt Oil Company hosted students for a tour of its Eagle Ford operations in South Texas. The time included a field visit with a field foreman and district engineer demonstrating the equipment necessary for producing oil and gas. -
Power Plant Tour
Students in the summer program take an annual field trip to the Fayette Power Project near La Grange in Fayette County, Texas. They talk one-on-one with engineers and plant operators to see turbines, fuel, and burning units first-hand.
