Opportunities

Internships & Volunteering:

  • Dell Med's Health Leadership Apprentice Program (open to undergraduate and graduate students each August): Apply for a 10-week fall apprentice program designed to provide aspiring health care leaders with a unique experience working in a health system devoted to transforming the way people get and stay healthy. The apprentice program runs September 25-December 1. For more information, see: https://dellmed.utexas.edu/apprentice-program
  • Insure Central Texas (Foundation Communities): volunteers needed for Certified Application Counselors. Volunteers will be trained to work hand-in-hand with clients to determine eligibility for benefits. Largest demand for volunteers is during the federal marketplace open enrollment period, November 1st - December 15th. To connect and learn more, email volunteer@foundcom.org

Scholarships:

  • Austin HIMSS Scholarship Program: This program is aimed at providing financial assistance to deserving students in the next academic year. We are looking for candidates who are actively pursuing an Undergraduate, Graduate, and Certificate Program at an accredited academic institution. Scholarships are awarded on an annual basis, during the second quarter. Deadline to submit completed application is December 15.
