-owned companies, provide attractive returns to investors, and support the development of successful women entrepreneurs and investors. Golden Seeds is an early-stage investment firm with a focus on women leaders.
Laura Baldwin currently serves as President of Waco Bend Asset Management Ltd., where she is responsible for managing her family’s investment portfolio. Her prior professional experience includes various roles at Triad Hospitals, Inc.(most recently as Vice President of Finance and Investor Relations), equity research, and investment banking. She received her B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin, graduating Phi Beta Kappa, and her M.B.A. from Southern Methodist University. Laura is also a community volunteer and philanthropist, currently serving on the boards of the Dallas Institute of Humanities and Culture and Reading and Radio Resource. She is a partner with Dallas Social Venture Partners and is a member of the Junior League of Dallas. Additional community activities include the Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center, March of Dimes, the Family Place, the Child Abuse Prevention Center, and the Dallas Women’s Foundation.

Andres is an entrepreneur and angel investor with more than 9 years of experience in the startup scene. He recently sold his tech company to a major telecommunications player and in early 2017 he joined Mountain Nazca as a Managing Partner. Andres has ventured in industries such as real estate, transportation and mobility, health and tech since 2008. During this time he has been active as an Angel investor investing in more than 10 companies. Before jumping into the entrepreneurial scene he worked in the private equity and investment banking industry for more than 8 years. Andres has a bachelors degree in Civil Engineer from Universidad Iberoamericana and an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin.
Stephanie is an authentic voice for women entrepreneurs. She has been walking the walk of a successful entrepreneur for over twenty years. After launching a career in corporate America with Accenture, she found her true calling as co-founder and CEO of Care.com HomePay (previously Breedlove & Associates), the nation’s largest and most comprehensive household payroll and tax firm. Her startup grew to national leadership, was later acquired for more than $50 million, and plays a vital role in the quality and professionalism of the in-home care industry.
Dr. William Cunningham
Dr. Cunningham served as Dean of the College and Graduate School of Business (1983-85), President of The University of Texas at Austin (1985-1992), and Chancellor of The University of Texas System (1992-2000). Dr. Cunningham serves on a number of public corporate boards including Southwest Airlines, Lincoln Financial, John Hancock Mutual Funds, LIN TV, and Resolute Energy Corporation. His current research interests focus on corporate governance and marketing strategy.

Gavin is head of partnership at digital design firm thirteen23 as well as co-founder and former CEO at The Magazine Channel. His past experience includes IP law and technology commercialization consulting. He has mentored entrepreneurs at Galvanize, Capital Factory, ImpactHub, and TechStars.
Mr. Gordon has a 25 year background in consumer retail and B-to-B products, spanning leadership roles across varied functions and industries. His experiences at divisions of PepsiCo and Anheuser-Busch include corporate strategy and development, finance, supply chain and retail site/market planning. He has a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Washington and Lee, with an MBA in Finance from The University of Texas at Austin.

David Heitzer has over 30 years of experience in the Process and Energy industries. Since 2009, he has served as a lead consultant responsible for EDF Trading North America's overall business origination of large, energy-intensive commercial and industrial clients in major North American electricity markets. Throughout his career, Mr. Heitzer strived to develop unique market offerings in order to creatively optimize solutions for his customers' evolving needs. Prior to his contract with EDF, Mr. Heitzer was Vice President, Commercial and Industrial for Reliant Energy (NRG Energy) with overall responsibility for electricity supply to these complex business sectors. Earlier in his career, Mr. Heitzer held positions with Air Products and Chemicals, The Parsons Corporation, and IT Corporation. Mr. Heitzer holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Delaware in Newark DE, and an M.B.A. from the University of Texas in Austin, TX. He is a Professional Engineer licensed in the State of California and proudly serves on two University of Delaware Advisory Boards, the College of Arts and Sciences, and the Horn Program in Entrepreneurship, a personal passion. Outside of his professional responsibilities, Mr. Heitzer maintains additional investments in real estate, high tech, and retail.
Herb Kelleher is the co-founder and former CEO of Southwest, a pioneering airline which eliminated unnecessary services and utilized secondary airports in order to offer low-cost fares. Kelleher started out as a lawyer, but quickly switched to follow his aerial vision. His leadership style has won numerous awards and the hearts and minds of many employees.
He served as an Executive Chairman of Southwest Airlines Co., from March 29, 1978 to May 21, 2008 and served as its Executive Director from 1967 to May 21, 2008. He serves as Deputy Chairman of Federal Reserve Bank Of Dallas and served as its Vice Chairman. He serves as Chairman Emeritus of Southwest Airlines Co. He serves as a Director of Nanomedical Systems, Inc. He serves as a Member of Advisory Board of Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas. He has been named Chief Executive Officer of the Year by Chief Executive magazine and Chief Executive Officer of the Century by Texas Monthly. He serves as a Board Member of the Herb Kelleher Center for Entrepreneurship, Growth, and Renewal at the Red McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin. He is a graduate of Wesleyan University and has a Law degree from New York University.

A former Management Consultant with Booz & Co, Katie got involved in start-ups when she joined the Executive Team at www.seek.com.au as head of Marketing & Product. She invested 6 years building the SEEK brand and leading the product effort at this award winning website through IPO. Katie then founded www.kidspot.com.au, the largest and most successful online website for mothers in Australia and New Zealand, selling to News Corp in 2011. Katie has a BBA in Accounting and earned her CPA shortly after studying at the University of Texas at Austin. Katie later returned to the same university to earn her MBA with a concentration in marketing. She joined ShippingEasy as the CEO in 2012, moving the headquarters to her hometown of Austin and kicking off the aggressive growth efforts following its founding in Sydney, Australia.

Prior to joining Hines, Mr. Muller was the national director of sales for Morgan Stanley’s Investment Management Group in New York. Prior to that role, he was the executive director of Van Kampen Investments (subsidiary of Morgan Stanley) in Chicago for nearly nine years. He began his career working as a corporate controller and financial advisor.

Mr. Brendan Noonan has been Chief Brand Officer of Guaranteed Rate, Inc. since December 2017. Mr. Noonan focus on honing the brand’s voice, vision and image. He spent 13 years with MillerCoors, served as Marketing Director, where he led the activation of the brand purpose for Coors Light, MillerCoors’ largest brand. He also oversaw the repositioning of Miller High Life and managed the national expansion of Leinenkugel’s including the launch of Summer Shandy, the largest seasonal beer brand in the United States. Chantal Pittman's career spans 18 years in consulting, venture capital and the start-up world. This allows her to bring a unique sense of organization, urgency and results-orientation to managing projects for our clients and gives her an ability to dive into any business to help improve their overall online presence, product suite, marketing and brand position. Chantal started her career consulting for Cap Gemini where she worked in strategy, marketing and operations projects for major multinational corporations. She subsequently worked in venture capital – performing technical and financial due diligence for start-up companies including early internet search company Inktomi, online gaming companies and online catalog retailers. She co-founded OnePoint Communications in 1996, which was acquired by Verizon in 2001 where she ran Network Planning, the North East region and subsequently sales and marketing for the company. She also co-founded io Lighting in 2003, running product development, Operations and Finance. io was acquired by Cooper Industries (Eaton) in 2007. Chantal received both her BS and MS degrees in Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She also received her MBA from McCombs at the University of Texas at Austin in 2012.

Before joining Trilogy Software, Inc., Mr. Price oversaw commercialization of Shell Research's advanced technologies, and helped establish Neuron Data as the leading provider of expert system and object-oriented technologies within Global 1000 companies. He serves as a Director of Sparefoot from 2009 and Vast.com, Inc. He served as a Director of technical marketing at Neuron Data and an AI associate at Shell Oil. His career spans three decades of high tech startups. Mr. Price is one of the software industry's leading visionary sales, marketing and business development executives. He has over 20 years experience shaping his vision. He drives growth through his vision and leadership in all aspects of internet and enterprise business. He holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.
Kathryn Turpin is a senior corporate and transactional attorney with experience working with a spectrum of businesses from the small start-up company to the medium sized company. She is licensed to practice law in both Texas and California, and she has handled a wide variety of commercial transactions, including general business transactions, acquisitions and sales of businesses, and technology agreements. Kathryn works with companies to help them identify the proper ownership structure and then to implement their plan for doing business (whether as a traditional brick and mortar business or an online business). In this role, she creates form agreements for the business and documents the relationships between the business and its customers, vendors or business partners as well as the relationships between the business owners and employees or consultants. Kathryn views her relationship with clients as a collaborative effort, with the goal of making a client’s business run as smoothly as possible.

Kathryn is a three-time Ironman finisher and has crossed the Grand Canyon eight times. She is happily married to an astrophysicist and has two stepchildren in college. In her free time, Kathryn enjoys running, swimming, yoga, reading, and spending time with their four cats.
Colby was born and raised in Houston, Texas, but has made his home in East Austin. Colby graduated undergrad from the University of Texas McCombs School of Business with a BBA in International Business. Following undergrad, he worked in Houston doing Asset Management for Quantum Partners, an FDIC contract and consulting firm. After five years in Houston, he came back to Austin and graduated in 2015 from the full-time MBA program at McCombs focusing his studies on Entrepreneurship and New Venture. During his MBA program, he worked on his own business idea and since graduating he has joined his second software start up, SourceDay. In the last two years, he has helped the company grow from three to twenty-one employees, helped secure seed funding and series A funding. His professional passion is in Entrepreneurship, while his personal passions are in the outdoors, Longhorn sports, music, cooking, and my family and friends. Hook'em!
