Undergraduate Certificate Program

This transcript-recognized real estate program is available to full-time undergraduate students enrolled at UT Austin, regardless of major. Application and admission to the program is required.

The real estate certificate program is more than a minor and can be pursued alongside any undergraduate degree at UT Austin. Industry raised $4MM to fund this program, which focuses on interdisciplinary understanding of real estate’s broad scope, as well as proficiency in real estate finance. Launched in 2012, the program has realized significant popularity among students and success with placement at top firms.

Certificate Requirements

The Real Estate Certificate requires two prerequisite courses (6 hours) in accounting and finance, and six courses (18 hours) including real estate finance, development, investment or law, and electives in architecture, economics, engineering or urban planning.
