RE 358 may be taken concurrently with the finance prerequisite course. To gain registration access for RE 358, non-finance students must first receive admission to the program and request a waiver from the Program Advisor.
To be considered for acceptance to the Real Estate Program, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Current degree-seeking undergraduate student at UT Austin (from any major)
- Upper-division standing
- Business majors: Credit or Registration for FIN 357
- Non-Business majors: Credit for ACC 310F, and credit or registration for FIN 320F (for non-business majors),
Admission to the program is based on a student’s overall academic record and their performance in prerequisite course(s).
NOTE: The 18 hours of real estate program courses typically require three long semesters to complete, due to course availability and sequencing of courses. Students may complete a maximum of nine hours of certificate coursework within one year of earning the undergraduate degree. All coursework, including prerequisites, must be completed in residence and taken on the letter-grade basis.
