How TVL helped: Texas Venture Labs helped RayDyne to validate their sustainable competitive advantage. To do this the TVL deal team interviewed the former CTO of a failed competitor to benchmark RayDyne's strategy and technology. In addition, the students examined trends in both technology improvement and price reductions in the industry to determine where RayDyne's product would stand over the next five years. The end result was a clear picture of RayDyne's sustainable competitive advantage over the next five to ten years which was subsequently presented to investors as part of the due diligence process.
