Celebrating 100 Years of Texas BBA

This year marks the centennial celebration of UT's first graduating class to earn a business degree.  For the past century, the Texas way has been to show students how to think big and earn the rights of leadership with smarts and hard work.

The McCombs School of Business is now ranked among the nation’s Top 10 business schools, outranking nearly every private school.  We are number one in accounting, top 10 in seven other majors, and are thriving in the heart of Austin, the number one city for tech startups, innovation, and STEM job growth.

Great Texas Exit

Graduates and their families and friends are invited to kickoff commencement weekend at the Etter-Harbin Alumni Center for the Great Texas Exit. Stop by before the Main Mall event for a casual Texas-sized celebration with free beer and champagne! The event takes place on Saturday, May 20 from 3-7 p.m. at the Etter-Harbin Alumni Center

Security

Backpacks, tote bags or any bags larger than 12 inches in any dimension will not be allowed into any Commencement venue. This applies to all McCombs convocation ceremonies, as well as other schools and the university-wide commencement at the Tower.

In addition, all other bags, including purses, camera cases and diaper bags are subject to search at the college, school and departmental ceremonies. We strongly urge all attendees not to bring bags unless they are absolutely necessary. Visitors bringing smaller bags should expect delays in order to enter the venue and those with the prohibited larger bags will be turned away.

Parking

Parking for commencement activities is free in designated areas on a first-come, first-served basis. With the exception of spaces marked “At All Times,” all university parking garages as well as most surface lots are available.

Photos/Videography

Not able to attend the convocation? Ceremony videos will be posted in early June. Additionally, ceremonial photos will be available on the McCombs Facebook Page.
