Joshua Alexander is associate director for the Hicks, Muse, Tate, and Furst Center for Private Equity Finance at The University of Texas at Austin’s McCombs School of Business. As an assistant professor of instruction in finance, he teaches courses on risk management, new ventures, and corporate development.

Alexander also serves as faculty director of Bay Area for McCombs and designs the curriculum for the school’s Veteran Accelerated Management Program.

Head of pricing and go-to-market strategy for platform at Salesforce Inc., Alexander has also worked in leadership with Austin companies Turbo Industries, Munday Enterprises, and Toopher Inc. He holds two patents on multifactor authentication systems.

Alexander earned a BBA in finance and a Plan II B.A. from UT, and he holds an MBA in finance and strategic management from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

He has written or co-written three books, including a novel, “Generation Vega.”
