With over 15 years of fundraising and nonprofit management experience, Dianne currently serves as the Director of Development and oversees the major gifts program at The University of Texas McCombs School of Business. In this position, she manages a team of major gift and special gift officers, creates donor and stewardship strategy, and leads capital campaigns and major projects. Dianne focuses on cultivating friends and alumni of the McCombs School of Business in Austin, Midland, San Francisco and Seattle.
Before coming to the McCombs School of Business, Dianne served for 12 years as the Executive Director of Shoes for Austin, a startup and incentive-based nonprofit organization that provided new athletic shoes to tens of thousands of deserving children at over 40+ social services agencies around Central Texas.
Originally born and raised in Seattle, Dianne has lived in Austin for over 20 years. She is an attorney and holds a J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law, and a B.A. in Sociology from the University of Washington. In addition, she is admitted to the State Bars in Colorado and Texas.
Outside of work, she has many noteworthy accomplishments including her roles as a Founding Board Member of the LBJ Library Future Forum (created to engage civic participation and support the Lyndon B. Johnson Presidential Library), a graduate of Leadership Austin Essential Class of 2003, and as a Texas Bar Foundation Fellow (top 1/3 of 1% of Texas attorneys elected).
Dianne is married to Shannon Wade Bangle, a graduate of the University of Texas School of Law, founding partner of Beatty Bangle Strama, P.C. and Outside General Counsel for the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association. They live in Austin with their two children, ages 10 and 8.
