Shefali V. Patil is an Assistant Professor of Management at the McCombs School of Business, University of Texas at Austin. She studies how employees perceived conflict with the public affects their decision making, attitudes, and performance--and how employees political ideologies shape this perceived conflict. She is currently examining these questions in the context of law enforcement. She received her PhD from the Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania, and her bachelor of science degree, summa cum laude, in Management and Marketing from the Stern School of Business, New York University.
