Kinde is a PhD candidate in Strategy in the Management department at McCombs School of Business, the University of Texas at Austin. His research interest lies at the intersection of innovation, strategy and organizational theory-- particularly the role external actors take in influencing firm adaptation of technology and innovation. One stream examines how outside entities can influence firms’ innovation trajectories. A second stream, including his dissertation work, investigates how firms manage the pacing of innovations.

He earned his B.A. in Economics from Yale University. He also has a M.S. degree in Management and Applied Economics from Wharton, University of Pennsylvania, and a M.S. in Strategic Management from the University of Texas at Austin. Prior to his graduate studies, He worked for Deloitte Consulting in New York City, as well as at New York Presbyterian Hospital.
