Christopher Bryan is an associate professor of business, government, and society at The University of Texas at Austin’s McCombs School of Business. He also serves as a faculty research associate for UT’s Population Research Center, and he is co-founder and co-director of the Texas Behavioral Science and Policy Institute.

Prior to joining McCombs, Bryan worked as an assistant professor of behavioral science and FMC faculty scholar for the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. While there, he taught courses on behavioral science, social psychology, public policy, and business finance. Bryan has written textbook chapters on social psychology and behavioral science.

A respected researcher and speaker on psychology, Bryan conducts field experiments to further the understanding of how psychological processes affect decision-making. For his contributions to the field of psychology, Bryan is a sought-after speaker, nationally and internationally.

He has presented his research on behavioral science and psychology at numerous peer-reviewed conferences, including the Association for Psychological Science Annual Conference, the European Association for Social Psychology Annual Conference, and the Society for Research on Educational Effectiveness Annual Conference. His research on child psychology has been featured in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and The Washington Post.

Bryan earned a B.A. in psychology from McGill University and a Ph.D. in psychology from Stanford University.
