Professor Markle obtained his PhD in Accounting from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Prior to joining the School of Accounting and Finance, he was a visiting assistant professor at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College for one year. His research currently focuses on international tax and the ways in which multinational corporations reduce their tax burdens using international tax planning.
