Mr. Devlin graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Business Administration, majoring in Petroleum Land Management. While at The University, Devlin was President of the Student Landman’s Association and was named Outstanding Senior in the Petroleum Land Management Program. Devlin also received the prestigious University of Texas Cactus Goodfellow Award.
Mr. Devlin began his career in the oil and gas industry as a Landman with Harkins & Company. In 1990, Devlin joined Suemaur Exploration, Inc. as Land Manager. Devlin is now Vice President of Land and is a co-owner, Director and Secretary of Suemaur Exploration & Production, LLC and its affiliated entities.
Mr. Devlin served as Secretary of the Executive Committee and is currently a Director of the American Association of Professional Landmen. He is currently chairman of the AAPL Forms Committee and is past chairman of the Ethics and Education Committees. Devlin has served on numerous additional committees within the AAPL, including the Nominations Committee, Strategic Planning Committee, Publications Committee and the Issues Management Committee. Devlin is past President of the Corpus Christi Association of Professional Landmen.
Mr. Devlin serves on the Executive Committee of the Governing Board of Driscoll Children's Hospital, including the Compliance, Compension, Joint Conference and Bylaws committees. He also served as President of the Development Foundation Board of Driscoll Children’s Hospital. Mr. Devlin is a past Director of the John G. and Marie Stella Kenedy Memorial Foundation, including its Audit and Investment Committees. Devlin served on the Board of Governors of the Art Museum of South Texas as well as its Executive Committee and received its Chairman’s Award. He is a former Director and member of the Executive Committee of the Incarnate Word Academy School Board and former chair of its Finance Council.
