Robert Prentice News

The UT System has created an Academy of Distinguished Teachers. BGS Professor Robert Prentice is one of 12 professors from across the system's nine undergraduate academic institutions admitted into the Academy's inaugural class on April 23.

Professor Robert Prentice was recently interview by Ethikos about the Ethics Unwrapped video series. “We realized a lot of our students are visual learners,” Robert Prentice, professor of business law and business ethics in the Department of Business, Government & Society, told Ethikos. “They respond to visual cues, they love to watch videos on YouTube.” An extended version of this article will run in the upcoming print edition of Ethikos.

Prentice Presents at IESBA

On December 5, Robert Prentice gave a talk on behavioral ethics in New York City to the International Ethical Standards Board for Accountants (IESBA).

At the 22nd annual Association of Practical and Professional Ethics conference on March 1 in San Antonio, Robert Prentice presented the BGS “Ethics Unwrapped” video series. The video series was a hit at the conference. More than forty educational institutions are currently using “Ethics Unwrapped” in their curriculum, as well as many large and small business around the country.

Ethics in Action Previewed at Conference

On September 20, at the third annual “Partners in Business Ethics” conference in Chicago, Robert Prentice and filmmaker Cara Biasucci previewed three videos in the BGS “Ethics Unwrapped” video series.  With content provided by McCombs faculty and with the active participation of many McCombs students, Biasucci is producing high-quality educational ethics videos that can be used by anyone in the world interested in learning about or teaching business ethics.  The series will be formally rolled out in November.
