Forbes magazine recently discussed BGS Assistant Professor Brian Richter's recent paper claiming that Chrysler might have done better without the government bailout. It also touched on the innovative research techniques used in the paper. Richter's co-authors are Guy Holburn and Adam Fremeth of the University of Western Ontario.

On December 11, Professor Brian Richter was quoted in the Washington Times regarding the economic impact of the automobile bailout.

Richter Makes Bloomberg News Wire

The Bloomberg News Wire recently noted in its “Cutting Research” column a study by BGS Assistant Professor Brian Richter. He found that when business leaders become CEOs, they substantially increase their political contributions. The study, co-authored by the Ivey School’s Adam Fremeth and University of Ottawa’s Brandon Schaufele, was published in the American Economic Journal: Applied Economics.
