Invest In McCombs | How to Give

Endowed Chairs

Established to support prominent faculty, department chairs, and deans, endowed chairs are among the most important and prestigious gifts a donor can make to the university. Endowed chairs provide invaluable financial support to attract and retain the most innovative scholars in their field. Chair holders draw exceptional students to a program, attract outstanding junior and senior faculty, stimulate significant research, and leverage funding from other sources — all of which further enhance UT’s excellence and make it one of the world’s most powerful centers of learning, research, and creativity.

"Marketing is not a subject that always gets the highest visibility in business schools,” Malcolm said. “I wanted to create a lasting resource and make a statement that marketing is a critical part of the McCombs School. This resource will help the program continue to be at the leading edge of innovation.”

– Robert Malcolm, Robert Malcolm Endowed Chair in Marketing Innovation

"Rob’s investment in the McCombs School has been far more than financial,” said Jay Hartzell, dean of the McCombs School. “He has given his time and expertise generously, and it is clear that he truly cares about the future of the McCombs School and the next generation of innovative marketing students and professionals. We are deeply appreciative of his continual support of the school and look forward to working together in the years to come.”
– Jay Hartzell, Dean and Centennial Chair in Business Education Leadership
