Faculty Highlights


Professor Vijay Mahajan has garnered worldwide media attention. His most recent book “Africa Rising: How 900 Million African Consumers Offer More Than You Think,” has attracted rave reviews from press around the globe. Associate Professor of Marketing Raji Srinivasan was the 2009 recipient of the American Marketing Association Erin Anderson Award for an Emerging Female Marketing Scholar and Mentor.


Professor Ehud Ronn's pioneering work earned him a spot in the Energy Risk Hall of Fame. In addition to teaching he is Director of the Center for Energy Finance Education and Research at McCombs. Recognized for his research in behavioral finance, Alok Kumar draws on principles of psychology and sociology throughout his work, which has been published repeatedly in the Wall Street Journal, New York Times and Journal of Finance.


Department Chair Pamela Haunschild integrates her banking experience as a national vice president into the classroom. Management Professor John S. Butler's selection by President Bush to the William S. Fulbright Scholar selection panel and background as a consultant to many firms, including the U.S. Military, complement his expertise in organizational behavior and entrepreneurship. John Doggett and James Nolen, anchors of the renowned, entrepreneurship curriculum are two of the most highly rated professors on campus.


The Accounting Department, which the Public Accounting Report has consistently ranked the number one graduate accounting program, boasts many national leaders, including William Kinney, one of the leading auditing experts in the world, serving as an advisor to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (IAASB), and Lillian Mills, President-Elect of the American Taxation Association, a section of the American Accounting Association.
