There are several ways to post your opportunities for Texas MPA students.
If you are trying to identify candidates during the academic year, the most widely utilized option is to post positions to the McCombs online recruiting system for on-campus recruiting. Through this system, students submit resumes and employers can either interview on campus, or conduct interviews at their home office. McCombs Job Board
The McCombs Job Board offers employers a place to promote employment opportunities to both current students and alumni of the McCombs School of Business. Job postings are entered and managed independently by companies and may be directed at students and alumni with specific McCombs degrees. The McCombs Job Board is intended to help employers target candidates for a broader spectrum of roles than on campus recruiting can address. Employers can recruit students for part-time or full-time roles that are salaried, commission-based or unpaid. The McCombs Job Board is also intended to offer employers access to McCombs alumni for full-time or part-time roles that are either salaried or commissioned based.
Steps for Getting Started:
- Access the McCombs Job Board.
- Register for a community account (unless you are an alumni of the McCombs School of Business. If you are an alumnus, sign on using your McCombs Online Resource access). First time visitors are only required to set up an account (register) the first time they access the system. Once you have an account, you will be able to skip this step.
- Sign on using your community account (you'll find that stored bookmark/favorite URL helpful as you come back into the system). The first time you sign on with your new community account, you will need to enter your company profile information. Again, this will not be required with each job posting.
- Post the specifics of the job. You will receive email confirmation about the status of your submitted job once the position has been reviewed by McCombs staff. Please allow 3 business days for a response.
MPA Blog and Newsletter
We can announce your job openings, upcoming events, and activities in the MPA Weekly, our blog and electronic newsletter sent to all MPA students each Monday. For inclusion, please send us your short announcements and/or your job postings one week in advance.
If you would like to reach out to other students at UT, the university’s 17 career services offices have collaborated to create this online information resource and launch pad to all employer services offered by career services offices across campus. The site lists links to university-wide job boards, as well as all university career fairs, university career services offices, and information on the on-campus interviewing, resume referral and college-specific job/internship posting services available through each career services office.
