About the MPA Career Fair

Held just before the fall semester begins, the MPA Career Fair provides an opportunity for you to be among the first to recruit Texas MPA students. With limited employer slots and expected attendance of 120 students, this tailored event allows participants to have targeted and meaningful interactions. The majority of attending students will graduate in 2016. While some are seeking internships, most are interested in full-time positions.
Registered organizations are invited to bring company giveaway items, signage and literature to this event. Each organization will be assigned an eight-foot table with cloth and two chairs. Prior to the fair, MPA Career Services will host a brunch meeting to provide information on the incoming class, the latest employment statistics and a student panel on best practices in recruiting. Registrants will be the first to access the Fall 2015 MPA Resume Book. The publication will be emailed to the primary contact at each registered organization prior to the MPA Career Fair.
The MPA Career Fair will be held in the Touchdown Club in the Red McCombs Red Zone at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium. Enter the stadium through Gate 16 and take the elevator to the 8th floor.
All-day parking is available in the San Jacinto Garage during the event. The garage is located at 2401 San Jacinto Boulevard. Please pull a ticket upon entering the garage and present it at event check-in for validation.
If you would like to drop-off your materials before parking, there will be a designated drop off area at the loading dock entrance at the corner of 23rd Street and San Jacinto. Student volunteers will be waiting there to carry your items to your table while you park your car in the San Jacinto Garage.

About the MPA Networking Reception
MPA Networking Reception – Thursday, August 20
4:30-5 p.m. - Employer check-in
5-7 p.m. - MPA Networking Reception
Preferred attire is business casual.
The MPA Networking Reception provides a venue to connect with students prior to the fair in a format that offers both structured speed networking and open networking. Light refreshments will be served. To keep the focus of the reception on person-to-person interaction, please reserve company giveaway items, signage and literature for the MPA Career Fair the following day.
Registration for the MPA Career Fair is a prerequisite for registering for the MPA Networking Reception.
The MPA Networking Reception will be held in the Carpenter-Winkel Centennial Room on the west side of the Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium. Enter the stadium through Gate 5 or 6 and take the elevator to the 9th floor.
Parking is available in the San Jacinto Garage during the event. The garage is located at 2401 San Jacinto Boulevard. Please pull a ticket upon entering the garage and present it at event check-in for validation.

MPA Networking Reception
Fee includes admission for up to four representatives, a designated speed networking table, a designated open networking table, refreshments, and validated parking. Registration for MPA Career Fair is required.
MPA Career Fair
Fee includes a table for the career fair, delivery of employer materials from the stadium loading area to table, brunch, and validated parking for up to eight employer representatives.

You will receive a link to the secure online payment site once your registration request has been submitted and reviewed in Symplicity.
Pay by Check
Make checks payable to The University of Texas at Austin and mail to the address below. Please include a copy of the invoice with your payment.

Access Your Registration Information
After submitting your registration, you will not be able to edit the information in the system. You may, however, review your information at any time by following the steps noted below.
- Log in to Symplicity.
- Select the Events tab.
- Select Career Fairs.
- Click the Review - Pending or Review - Confirmed button next to MPA Career Fair 2015.
- Click the Registration Info tab to see details of your registration, including number of registered representatives. Once your registration is confirmed, access the Accounting tabto see your invoice and payment status.

Shipping Career Fair Materials
Participants may ship event materials such as giveaway items, signage and literature to the address below beginning August 11. Please be sure to include your organization’s name, contact name, and return address on the outside of all packages.

If you would like for the stadium staff to ship items back to your office using FedEx, please seal and package the items for shipping before leaving the event. Only pre-printed, pre-paid labels may be used to return items. A laptop and printer will be made available if you need to print a label. You will need to know your FedEx login and password, your account number, and your ship to address. Items with handwritten labels will not be accepted for return shipment.
Note: If you plan to return your packages via UPS, you will need to arrange for a pre-paid pickup using the address above and notify Karen Machacek regarding the details of the pickup, including the confirmation number.
